Crisp periodically makes updates to the data we provide for destination connectors to account for changes from the source or to make other improvements. We recommend upgrading your connectors periodically to ensure you have the latest versions of the data for your connectors.
To check to see if there is a new version of the source data for your destination connector:
- From the left navigation, select Connectors, then, from the list that appears, select the destination connector you want upgrade (e.g., Excel).
- From the Connector source data section, select the Change Selection button.
A list of sources appears with columns indicating the available versions, table types, tables, columns, and time key transformations for the selected data source. In the following image, for example, you can see we are on version 2.17 of the data for the selected source connector, but that there are two newer versions available (2.18 and 2.19). - Deselect all the tables you want to upgrade to a newer version. Hint: You can click Select All/Select None to quickly select/deselect all the tables.
- Select the Accept button.
You can now either save your changes to this connector or save to a clone of your connector. Saving to a clone creates a copy that you can migrate your downstream reports over to at your own pace, allowing you to avoid disruptions to reports and processes that use the original connector. - If you want to upgrade by saving a clone of your connector:
- Select the Change Selection button again, then select the new versions of the tables you want to upgrade.
- Select the Accept button.
The Edit Connector screen appears with an option to clone the connector. - Select Save to clone, then select the Clone button.
The Edit connector screen for the cloned connector appears. - Click the Save button.
- Update any downstream files/reports in your destination (e.g., Excel) that you want to use the new versions of your connector tables.
- If you want to upgrade by saving your changes to the original connector:
- Once you have deselected the tables you want to upgrade and selected Accept, select the Save button to save the connector.
- Verify that the data has been removed in your destination.
- In Crisp, select the Change Selection button again, then select the new versions of the tables you want to upgrade.
- Select the Accept button.
You return to the Edit Connector screen. - If a new option appears asking you whether to clone or save this to connector, select Save to connector.
- Select the Save button.
Your changes are saved. You will need to update any references to the previous versions in downstream reports to avoid disruption.
