DOT Inventory Flow Analysis report

This report helps you gauge the health of your inventory flow, so you can make sure you have enough supply to meet anticipated demand and prevent bottlenecks from tying up inventory. The following sections describe each page in this report.

DC Details page

Overview tiles

These visualizations appear at the top of the page and provide key performance indicators (KPIs) for this year to help you get a quick snapshot of your inventory health.

On Hand Quantity Latest- Displays the latest total on hand quantity.
On Hand Amount Latest- Displays the latest total on hand amount.
Fill Rate %- Displays the percentage of orders that were fulfilled in full and on time for this year to help you gauge your performance on meeting customer demand.
Orders on Time %- Displays the percentage of orders that were fulfilled on time for this year.
Orders In Full %- Displays the percentage of orders that were fulfilled in full for this year.

Other visualizations

Inventory metrics by DC (table)- This table provides inventory metrics broken down by distribution center to help you evaluate issues at specific DCs.
Dynamic Measure by Distribution Center State (heat map)- This heat map allows you to quickly see where inventory is high and low to help you spot regional issues. You can change the inventory measure displayed using the drop-down menu at the top right of the visualization. You can hover over a state to see totals for the selected measure for that state.
On Hand Quantity and On Hand Amount by Week Start- This chart displays on hand amount and quantity over time to help you understand your inventory flow and spot potential issues.

DC Trends page

This page provides inventory metrics for the current and prior year by distribution center, as well as year over year percent change, so you can spot trends and dig in to issues at specific DCs.

Visualizations

Distribution Center Trend (table)- Displays the selected measure by distribution center for the current and prior year. You can change the inventory measure displayed using the drop-down menu to the right of the visualization.
Dynamic measure by Week Start (table)- Displays the selected measure by week start for the current and prior year.
Dynamic Measure by Week Start and Time Calculation (chart)- Displays the selected measure by week start and time. You can change the inventory measure displayed using the drop-down menu to the left of the visualization.

Item Detail page

This table on this page provides inventory metrics by distribution center and item for the current and prior year to help you evaluate the inventory health of individual products. You can expand a distribution center and customer to see product details.

Inbound Fill Rate page

This page helps you gauge your level of service to distribution centers and pinpoint areas where you may be over- or under-shipping.
