Report Overview
This report allows you to evaluate performance by geographic region and type of distribution center to help you optimize replenishment, reduce waste or out of stocks, and better align supply with actual in-store demand. You can also use this information to support retailer conversations when negotiating regional resets or resolving DC service issues.
Target has two types of distribution centers Food Distribution Centers (FDCs), which focus on distributing food products, and Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs), which carry a broader range of goods. This report contains two pages, one for each DC type, so you can evaluate them separately, as each type has distinct supply chain dynamics, product handling requirements, and performance considerations that impact sales and inventory differently.
