Crisp uses two fields of data to generate your list of customers: Customer name and customer ID. The customer ID field is expected to be unique per customer. If you are unable to find a specific customer within your Crisp account after uploading your data, it is possible that their customer ID was related to a different customer name at some point within your data.
If a customer’s customer ID is associated with more than one customer name, Crisp will assume that your customer’s name changed. It will then collapse the data for both customers into a single customer entry, using the customer name most recently associated with the duplicate customer ID.
To get all of your products into Crisp, we recommend using a unique customer ID for each individual customer. First, edit your data to associate your unique customers with unique customer IDs. Then, upload your data into Crisp again. Crisp will then ingest your data and update your customer list to reflect the updated customer IDs and names.
