The UNFI retention tab offers insights into your stores, tracking points of distribution and sales. This information can be helpful from the highest level down to your DSD reps. It's important to note that the the figures reflect your filters and provide snapshots of the selected time period.

Points of Distribution Details

 

New Points of Distribution

The figure in this tile represents the total number of new points of distribution (unique store+product combinations) gained in your selected time period.

At Risk Points of Distribution

This tile shows the number of points of distribution that are at risk of becoming lost. The number reflects how many stores have a greater than 1 standard deviation above their average weeks between purchases. In short, more time than normal has passed since they last placed an ordered.

Lost Points of Distribution

Once a point of distribution goes over 2 standard deviations above the average weeks between purchases, they are considered "lost."

Potential Lost Weekly Sales

An estimate of the amount of money you will lose next week due to "At-risk" and "Lost" points of distribution (store/product combos). This is calculated based on the average weekly sales of the same stores historically.

New Weekly Sales

The New Weekly sales figure is an estimated additional weekly revenue you will gain from the new points of distribution (store/product combos) added. This is calculated using the most recent orders of these new stores.

Net Weekly Sales

This figure subtracts your Potential Lost Weekly Sales from your New Weekly Sales.

Potential Lost Revenue

The amount of money you potentially lost for the filtered timeframe. Potentially lost weekly sales * the number of weeks since last purchase for each point of distribution.

New and Lost Points of Distribution Over Time

This graph visualizes trends in your points of distribution gains and losses. Based on the your selected time period, this can provide a sense of how your products are being added to, or disappearing from, shelves.

Details by Product

This sortable table offers further insights at the product level. You can click on a product name to filter the tab by that product, and you can also expand or shrink column headers by hovering, clicking, and dragging the "U+21F9.gif" symbol.

The most exhaustive table in this tab, Points of Distribution Details provides detailed information that you, your DSD reps, or brokerage can act on. Hover over the right corner and click the ellipses to download the table as an Excel file to share.
