An Overview of Voids
Voids happen — for one reason or another — when products have been removed from the shelves at a retailer location and are not re-ordered. Identifying voids can be time consuming and requires granular analysis on the part of the supplier. The data scientists at Crisp wanted to help suppliers by applying machine learning to create a proprietary model that can identify possible voids.
Currently, this model works with the following retailers: Walmart, Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, and Wegmans.
By gaining more visibility into possible voids and receiving alerts on them, Crisp users can take action to re-gain lost points of distribution and get products back to where they need to be: in stores, on shelves, and in front of customers.
Subscribing to Void Alerts
To further take the onus off of suppliers to notice possible voids, we've created an email alert that will go out when a specific criteria has been fulfilled. This makes sure you're alerted to possible voids quickly while not being inundated with messages.
To sign up for these alerts, please follow these steps:
- Log into your Crisp account.
- Click the 9-square grid in the top right and select "Email Alerts" from the dropdown.
- On the new page that loads, toggle "on" the alert.
- After that, provide the email address(es) you'd like to receive the alert and click "Add."
- Add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book to ensure the alerts arrive in your inbox and don't get filtered out by your email client.
For those who'd like to review their possible voids at a daily cadence, there's the "Voids" dashboard. Also accessible from the email alert, you can visit the dashboard in Crisp by selecting "Retailer (Unified)" from the dropdown of connectors, then "Voids" from the list of dashboards.
The dashboard follows the same pattern as many others, with an "Overview" section summarizing possible voids, a "Drivers" section slicing these by location and retailer, and a "Details" section providing granular and actionable insights.
To shape your data to get even more specific insights, use the filters at the top of the dashboard.
