To be profitable, food brands need to manage their inventory effectively. The UNFI Inventory dashboard provides a snapshot report that allows you to see the current state of your inventory to help you coordinate product shipments and plan production.
This dashboard is divided into three sections:
- Overview: See a snapshot of what's going on with your inventory.
- Drivers: Understand the events that contribute to your inventory levels.
- Details: Dig in to granular information that you can act on when inventory is running low or when planning for a promotion.

Inventory Overview
Inventory by Product (Top 20)
This breaks down inventory levels for your top 20 products and changes with other filters. For instance, you could see the product makeup of a specific DC by filtering by that DC and then viewing this chart. You can also hover for details or click a slice to filter by that product.
Inventory by DC
The Inventory by DC pie chart shows which distribution centers your products are in and changes when other filters are applied. Similar to the above example, you could select a product of interest from "Inventory by Product (Top 20)" to see your inventory levels for that product by DC.
Total Cases, Dollars on Hand
These tiles, which update with your filters, show the total cases and dollar value of your on hands.
Report Date
This displays when Crisp has last updated the data, providing context for your dashboard insights.
Current Inventory
The Current Inventory table provides an overview of what's currently on hand and on order, averages for what's on hand and on order, and then your weeks of supply. The "Weeks of Supply" column uses the "Week of Supply Lookback Period" filter at the top of the dashboard to calculate how many weeks into the future your product should last based on shipping averages.
Inventory Drivers
Weeks of Supply by DC
This dynamic map visualizes the supply health of your distribution centers. Green icons show DCs with a healthy number of weeks of supply, while red displays those with low weeks of supply. Hover over an icon for inventory details or click to filter the dashboard by that distribution center.
Quantity on Hand by DC
Corresponding with the above map, the "Quantity on Hand by DC" table offers a sortable breakdown of your inventory by distribution center.
Inventory Detail
On Hand and On Order Detail
This sortable table displays products by DC and includes more details in addition to the metrics seen in previous visualizations. Hover over the “⋮” symbol to the right of the table to download.
On Hand by Lot Detail
The "On Hand by Lot Detail" table makes it easier to identify where products are going to expire by grouping those with the same expiration date into "lots." Click the "Expiration Date" column header to sort the table and see when products will expire and how much quantity on hand by "lot" is set to expire. If an expiration date is missing or appears mis-entered, it's recommended you get in touch with UNFI to check on the status of that inventory at that distribution center.
